Manufacturer specifications for Q1® Premium Masking Tape (yellow):
- Saturated semi-crepe paper backing in bright translucent “sun yellow”
- Rubber-based, pressure-sensitive adhesive: instant bonding with good holding power
- Temperature resistant up to 110°C for 30 minutes, or 90°C for 60 minutes (e.g. paint oven drying cycles)
- UV resistant for up to 3 days
- Compatible with waterborne and solvent-based paints and lacquers
- Clean, one-piece removal without adhesive residue
- Thin backing for sharp, clean paint edges; conforms to curved and irregular surfaces without lifting or tearing
- Controlled unwind, easy tear, and works well tape-on-tape and with masking paper or film
- Typical data: total thickness 125µm, weight 92 g/m², adhesion to steel 2.3 N/cm
- Designed for automotive refinishing and body shop masking; also suitable for decorating and general trade masking
